know my self when racing, it can be a real pain if I can't work out the problem,
I often think that there must be others out there who are or have experienced

The winter used to bring
problems for me when trying to start my nitro motor on my Subaru. I
used to waste my time, energy and glow start battery power in an
attempt to get the damn thing turned over. So I had the idea of
heating the engine before starting it. With my Dad's heat gun
(which is actually meant for stripping paint off of walls) I
simply put the heat gun over the cylinder and exhaust outlet to
get it pretty warm and then effort to start the engine was
minimal. It' a real time saver. Of course you don't have to have a
paint stripper to get it warm. Anything that blows hot air will do
(not a hair dryer!)
